PAGES (Past Global Changes) supports research aimed at understanding the Earth’s past environment in order to make predictions for the future. We encourage international and interdisciplinary collaborations and seek to involve scientists from developing countries in the worldwide paleo-community. PAGES scope of interest includes the physical climate system, biogeochemical cycles, ecosystem processes, biodiversity, and human dimensions, on different time scales—Pleistocene, Holocene, last millennium and the recent past.
PAGES News (Vol. 16, no. 3, 2008) is titled "Advances in Speleothem Research." A high resolution copy (33 MB) is available at http://www.pages-igbp.org/products/newsletters/NL_2008-3highres.pdf. In October 2008, PAGES granted permission for the Karst Information Portal to download and store locally copies of their publications in the belief that "Lots-of-Copies-Keep-Stuff-Safe" (LOCKSS). We thank PAGES for their support,
